Oh, PTSD, the silent thief,
That haunts our minds with no relief,
A label is given a burden to bear.
Yet, society pretends to care.
Therapists and pills galore,
But insurance won't cover much more,
Just smile and nod, pretend you're fine,
While battling demons in your mind.
Take a seat, Take a number
Be patient, Waiting takes forever
PTSD pain, a joke to some,
A punchline for those who are numb,
"Just get over it," they like to say,
As if it were that easy to move away.
So here we are, in this madman's verse,
To cast some light, to break the curse,
Mental health is no laughing matter,
Let's help each other and make our voices matter.
